Philip K.H. Wong Foundation was established by Dr. Philip K.H. Wong, a Hong Kong lawyer, on 20th August 1990. The Foundation is recognised by the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department as a tax-exempted charitable organization incorporated in Hong Kong.

Dr. Wong, the founder of the Foundation, saw the need to support students in mainland China and Hong Kong through the provision of scholarships and bursaries to outstanding students in need. In addition, the Foundation also supports various educational, research and other charitable projects.

Since its establishment, the Foundation has provided scholarships and bursaries as well as research fundings to 6 universities in Hong Kong and 11 universities in mainland China; thousands of students have benefited.

Dr. Wong believes that human resources is an important element in a country’s development. The Foundation will continue to focus on supporting educational endeavours in mainland China and in Hong Kong and to make a contribution to China’s continual development, the prosperity and stability of Hong Kong.
